Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass

I read this a part of a book club Bingo…It’s the book I chose as “a book I should have read in high school but didn’t.” Indeed, if all high school students read this, we might be done with the notion that the slavery chapter in American history is something to “get over.” Amazing that  Douglass wrote this thought-provoking, intelligent narrative as a basically self-educated escaped slave.
